Altar & Waltar Care Instructions
All of my handcrafted Altars and Waltars are finished in a non-toxic water based stains and and varnish from Ecos Paints.
To clean: I recommend using warm water and a mild dish soap. Wipe and dry with a soft non-abrasive cloth.
Avoid Using: Any harsh chemicals such as ammonia, vinegar, powdered and liquid all-purpose cleaners, Endust, Pledge, Murphy’s Oil Soap, or any type of wax, or silicone based products.
Never: Put altars in the dish washer or submerge in water. The varnish will protect the surface from spills, but take care to avoid any pooling of liquids for prolonged periods and clean up any spills swiftly.
Products I use and Suggested Care Products
Because I do not want anything to interfere with you, your intention, or the use of your altar, I pledge to be fully transparent with the products I use when crafting each piece.
Links to the stain, finishing materials, and glue I use in all of my products are listed below. I also included a link to my favorite line of mild dish detergents. I find these both work well for deeper cleaning of your altar if needed.
